The positive predictive accuracy of the test ranges from 97.5 to 100% and the negative predictive accuracy from 98.2 to 99.0%.
The genetic test service is wholly owned by Asia Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory Limited. We are tenanted in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park.
We are in the process of applying for College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation.

Data Protection & Privacy
No. We do not sell, lease or rent any of your data with any third party. It will be solely used by AMDL for the request test and report. Only you can decide how your results are used and shared with others.
- We store your data on encrypted media strictly conforming to HIPPA requirements. All patient sensitive information is separately. All efforts aim to protect patient Confidentiality to the highest degree at industrial level.
Once your sample reaches the laboratory, it will be stored in a secure location in AMDL laboratory. Your ordering information (shipping address, credit card information, etc.) is stored separately from your genetic data.
For individuals based in Hong Kong, you are not obligated to provide your DNA results to your insurance provider and insurance providers do not ask for your DNA results. Many other countries follow The Genetic Information Non-discrimination Act of 2008 (GINA), a U.S. federal law that protects individuals’ genetic discrimination in health insurance and employment, protects your genetic information from use by health insurance providers.
GINA makes it against the law for your health insurer to:
- Collect and look at your genetic information (including family medical history) before you enrol or in connection with your enrolment in a health insurance plan, or restrict your enrolment based on your genetic information
- Ask or require that you or your family members take a genetic test.
- Adjust your health insurance premiums, contribution amounts or coverage terms based on your genetic information

Upon order confirmation, email will be sent to you within 1 business day. If you have not received it by then, please immediately reach us at +852 3589 6301 or via email at enquiry@amdl.com.hk with the following information:
(i) Order number
(ii) customer name and ID card no.
(iii) Details of your order: test name
Sample Return & Sample Status
The cut-off time is 3:00pm.
For call after 3pm, we arrange specimen pickup next working day.
We offer specimen pickup from Monday to Friday only.
We accept Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) NSCLC and CRC tumour tissue block. Please submit a H&E-stained section from the specimen paraffin block for quality check. If H&E-stained section is not available, we will prepare one and additional cost and time will be incurred.
Tumor tissue content must be ≥30% and necrotic tissue must be <50% by area. This will be assessed by our pathologist based on the H&E-stained section provided. Sample not meeting these requirements will be rejected.
Results
The turnaround time is 7 business days.
The report will be delivered electronically through encrypted and secure email and/or in hard copy by courier.
Your oncologist will contact you when you test report is ready.
The test result is for reference only. It should not be used as a substitute for professional diagnosis and treatment. Please consult your physicians to interpret the results of the test.
